Traditional Wrestling for Good — BWWA’s social impact wing, using the akhada to build stronger, healthier communities beyond the mat.
Every akhada we bring under one federation is a promise kept — that where a wrestler is born no longer decides how far they can go.
Every BWWA-affiliated akhada sits inside a community, not apart from it. TW4Good is the federation’s social impact wing — it takes the same network of state units and coordinators that runs competitions and points it at grassroots needs: akhada infrastructure, athlete health, and access for wrestlers who’d otherwise be shut out by cost or geography.
It’s run alongside, not instead of, BWWA’s competitive programs — the same Executive Committee and state coordinators who organize events also oversee where TW4Good’s resources go, so impact work stays connected to the akharas that need it.
TW4Good’s work is organized around four focus areas:
TW4Good’s programs are funded by individual donors, corporate CSR partners, and BWWA’s own federation resources. Contributions from Indian donors are eligible for a tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, and donations can be made via UPI or direct bank transfer.
TW4Good runs on volunteers as much as on funding — coaches, medical professionals, event organizers, and local akhada members all contribute time rather than money.
