INDIA'S NATIONAL TRADITIONAL WRESTLING MOVEMENT
Traditional Wrestlings Association India (TWAI) is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and developing India’s rich traditional wrestling heritage while creating opportunities for athletes to compete at national and international levels.
Established in 2025, TWAI works with affiliated state associations, coaches, referees, athletes, and technical officials to promote traditional wrestling disciplines through championships, education, governance, and international collaboration.
Today, TWAI supports a growing network of 15+ State Associations, 500+ registered athletes, and multiple traditional wrestling disciplines, strengthening India’s indigenous combat sports while building pathways for global participation.
